Resetting AirPods and AirPods Pro

You could want to refresh your AirPods or AirPods Pro to restore them back to normal if they start to act a little glitchy. Here is a short reset procedure for your AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Any electronic device you use will almost certainly experience problems that can be fixed by turning it off and back on. In order to solve any lingering issues, you must correctly reset the hardware because sometimes the so-called “bit rot” persists.

Like other pieces of gear, resetting your AirPods to factory settings can give you a fresh start, as if you were using them for the first time.

If you decide to sell the AirPods to raise money for new models like the AirPods Pro 2, you may also want to reset them so you may safely give them to someone else. As long as you don’t forget to disconnect the AirPods from any associated Apple IDs, this is a good procedure to follow.

As long as your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is close by and the charging case is available, resetting AirPods and AirPods Pro is rather simple and can be done in a matter of minutes.
